Palate

On the palate juicy, easy to drink, elegant, quick, fascinating, crisp. Fine tannins. A light, drinkable red for any time of day.

Growing Conditions

Our Vernatsch grows in ancient vineyards (pergels) on very steep slopes in Tscherms.

Harvest

Careful, if possible late harvest.

Winemaking

Mash fermentation partly with stalks, refinement for 5 months in wooden casks on the lees.

Food Pairing

Goes well with the typical South Tyrolean "Marende" as well as with pasta, white meat or a vegan "Jingalov hats", these are flatbreads filled with various herbs and leafy vegetables with dill, parsley, black cabbage, spinach, oregano and spring onions.
