Nose

The Gewürztraminer has an intense, typical scent of rose petals, cloves, and ripe tropical fruits.

Palate

In taste, it impresses with its ripe fullness paired with elegant acidity, which is rounded off by a subtle residual sugar content.

Growing Conditions

This wine grows in Missian in the municipality of Appiano. A clayey and calcareous soil supplies the vines with sufficient minerals.

Harvest

A low yield of 4,000 kg of grapes/ha and two different harvest dates are the reason for its complexity.

Winemaking

Two thirds of the amount was harvested very ripe. A third was harvested a month later, as a late harvest with a very high must weight, could no longer be fully fermented and thus gives the wine its natural residual sugar, its great fullness and density as well as its complexity. A wine with great potential and good shelf life.

Appearance

Golden yellow

Food Pairing

This Gewürztraminer is a good accompaniment to strong fish dishes, Asian cuisine, dessert as well as blue mold and red smear cheeses.
