Nose
Complex bouquet of blackberries, dried fruits and black currants.
Palate
With pleasant acidity and soft tannins, it is round and supple on the palate and has a harmonious and persistent finish.
Growing Conditions
- Elevation of the vineyards: 210 - 380 m a.s.l.
- Hillside vineyards in Cortaccia, valley floor locations in Magrè
- Soil: chalk gravel moraine soil in Cortaccia, sandy alluvial soil in Magrè
Harvest
The grapes are harvested by hand.
Winemaking
After maceration in concrete vats, both varieties are matured for ten month with malolactic fermentation; each 50% in barrique and 50% in large oak barrels. After blending, the assemblage stays in concrete vats. Finally, the wine is allowed to mature in the bottle.
