Palate

The robustly structured body and fine tannins carry the aroma smoothly on the palate, leading to a long, juicy finish.

Growing Conditions

- Elevation of the vineyards: 250 - 330 m a.s.l.
- Hillside vineyards in Niclara
- Soil: very deep morainic soil, slightly compacted and sandy, with a high clay content and elevated limestone levels.

Harvest

The grapes are harvested by hand.

Winemaking

Three to four weeks of maceration in concrete vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and 12 months of aging in small oak barrels. After an additional six months in large wooden casks, the wine matures for another year in the bottle.
