Winemaking

The grape, which originates from Burgundy, has found its ideal terroir in South Tyrol, and has become one of the most widely planted grape varieties. It is appreciated for its freshness and pleasant lingering aftertaste.

Fermentation and partially malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.

Its longevity is a compliment to its extraordinary quality.

The popular grape variety is familiar to people all around the globe. However, in the municipality of Eppan’s top selected vineyards, the grapes develop in such an excellent way that they produce a high-quality and vigorous yet elegant premium wine. Chardonnay has formed part of the Sanct Valentin line since 1986, and is one of the winery’s most important wines. Excellent balance, well-integrated acidity and excellent aging potential.

Sanct Valentin Pinot Grigio was born back in 1986. The first grape selections were carried out in selected vineyards in Eppan/Berg, and a Pinot gris was vinified in small wooden barrels for the first time. With smoothly integrated acidity, power and fullness, the expressive Sanct Valentin Pinot Grigio has been well received for decades. It is one of Italy’s most-awarded Pinot gris wines and promises an excellent drinking experience even after several years of storage.
