MauslocherMerlot AngerThe name of this grape varietal is derived from French “le merle”, the blackbird. An early-ripening varietal, Merlot offers intense aromas of red and dark fruit (cherry, plum, blackcurrant) and spiciness (cloves, oregano, leather). A fruity, full-bodied wine with ripe, soft tannin and southern charm. In the glass Merlot is cherry to dark red. When drunk young, Merlot goes well with many dishes, especially mediterranean cuisine.
