KränzelhofAries Sauvignon Blanc

Wine Description: Straw yellow with brightening edges. Aromas of ripe tropical fruits and freshly cut grass. On the palate, it reveals a layered and complex yet delicate profile with flavors of white peach, green apple, and floral notes reminiscent of herbs. The wine’s minerality and vibrant acidity provide an elegant and easy-drinking flow. Vinification: Carefully timed hand harvesting, with portions undergoing maceration or whole-cluster pressing, followed by fermentation at 15°C in stainless steel tanks, and 30% fermented in wooden barrels. This is an exceptional and authentic expression of the variety. From Sauvignon vines now 10 years old at the estate, this wine has a unique character, excellent aging potential, and radiance. Pairing Suggestions: Pairs well with asparagus, shellfish, risotto, pasta dishes, and vegetable salads.

KränzelhofTauris Lagrein

Wine Description: Ruby red with violet reflections. A powerful aroma of ripe cherries, black pepper, violets, blackcurrants, and licorice. Fruity on the palate, with spicy flavors and notes of ripe blackcurrant and cranberry. Velvety tannins, fullness, well-integrated acidity, and a lingering finish. Vinification: This Lagrein from Merano thrives on the south-facing slopes in Tscherms, where it benefits from excellent climatic conditions, resulting in exceptional fruitiness and spiciness. Carefully selected berries undergo a 10-day maceration fermentation, followed by 17 months of aging in used French oak barrels (second or third fill), with a small portion aged in new barrels. This rustic, indigenous variety enjoys great popularity. Pairing Suggestions: Pairs well with dark meats, whether braised or roasted, excellent with venison, and also pairs beautifully with flavorful hard cheeses.
