A brief history
The Gögglhof Winery is a small family-run business in the heart of the traditional St. Magdalena wine-growing area. This is where we, the Gojer family, produce wines from indigenous grapes such as Vernatsch (or Schiava) and Lagrein as well as Weißburgunder (Pinot Bianco), Sauvignon and Kerner (a cross between Schiava and Riesling) with their characteristic flavours. We attach great importance to individuality, identity and the typical terroir that unmistakably determines the origin of our wines.
We regard the wine production as a creative process. We closely monitor the grapes’ development from shooting and blossoming to harvesting, and always work sustainably, in harmony with nature. We attach great importance to capture the characteristics of the terroir and the essence of the vintage. Our underlying principle is “Quality starts in the vineyard”. We do our best to preserve it by our gentle technique in the cellar. This way we create both authentic and outstanding wines.
