Growing Conditions
The grapes for the Eberle's white wine are cultivated in a natural way with great diligence, passion and love. The vineyards are located on the south-exposed vineyard sites of the wine village S. Maddalena near Bolzano at an altitude of about 300 m above sea level and have a gravelly moraine soil. The vine stocks are grown according to the traditional South Tyrolean pergola-system. Due to the situation on the steep slopes a high amount of manual labour is needed.
Harvest
The Blaterle grapes are picked by hand at the end of August.
Winemaking
The Blaterle grapes are picked at the end of August. The crushed grapes are pressed and the most is fermented in steel tanks at less than 20°C. The wine is early filtered carefully and bottled immediately to preserve its natural freshness.
