Growing Conditions

The vineyards are located north of Lake Kaltern, sloping to the southwest, at an altitude of 280 to 300 meters above sea level. The warm microclimate and constant wind ensure optimal ripening of the grapes without botrytis. The soil consists of stony, sandy limestone gravel and is well drained.

Winemaking

The fully ripe grapes are harvested and dried in crates before being pressed in March of the following year. 18 liters of must are obtained from 100 kg of fresh grapes. This is followed by several weeks of fermentation, followed by 24 months of aging in tonneaux and barriques.
