The vineyards extend along a south-facing slope at an altitude of 350 to 500 meters above sea level. The soil consists of clayey marl lying on primary rocks such as porphyry and granite.

Winemaking

Vinification starts with the destemming of late-harvested but perfectly healthy grapes, followed by an 8-hour cold maceration. This is followed by pressing and natural must clarification. Slow fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18 °C, followed by 6 months of ageing in steel tanks on the fine lees.
