Winemaking
We harvest our red wine grapes by hand. They are then de-stemmed (the berries are removed from the stalks) and go into stainless-steel tanks where the mash can ferment. We age the wine for two years in barrique barrels at constant temperature and high humidity in our stone cellar, which dates back more than 600 years.
Appearance
Lagrein is a strong, fruity red wine with a ruby to dark garnet colour.
Food Pairing
Lagrein pairs well with hearty game dishes, red meat and hard cheeses.
