Deep golden-yellow, sweet berries are the hallmark of the Moscato Giallo grape - a sparkling jewel in the Graf range. Since it is harvested in late autumn, only a few vines on the sunniest slopes in the Merano region are able, in combination with consistent yield reduction, to draw out the full potential of this grand variety. A dry white wine with an unmistakeable nutmeg aroma - a truly unique fragrant kiss.

Grape variety: Moscato Giallo Location: Kalterersee-Bärental 360 m.s.l. Yield: 40 dz/ha (new vines) Alcohol content: 13,0 Vol % Acidity: 5,9 g/l Residual sugar: 1,7 g/l Description: As the name suggests, this wine presents itself with beautiful nutmeg notes. The grape variety grows in the Mediterranean climate above Lake Caldaro, allowing it to develop fine aromas of orange blossom and citrus fruits - impressive on the palate with an enchanting finish. Similar to our Gewürztraminer, our Moscato Giallo has a dry finish, which is uncommon for this variety. Recommended with: This wine is a perfect aperitif drink, it is dry and aromatic and is best combined with fish dishes, antipasti and cheese. Serving temperature: 9° - 11°C
This Goldmuskateller impresses with its golden yellow colour with greenish hues, as well as its intense fruity notes of ripe fruits and typical nutmeg flavour. Clean on the palate, it presents a crisp acidity and subtle minerally, fresh and rounded aftertaste.
Most Alto Adige Moscato giallos are made with residual sugar - our dry Moscato giallo is one of the exceptions. This grapevine has high requirements for microclimates, soils and yield. The warm days on the vineyard slopes determine the plump fruitiness of the wine. The cool nights are responsible for the lively acidity structure and spiciness. This dry Moscato giallo has somewhat less Moscato flavor than our sweeter variety. It delights, however, with complex spicy notes and subtle jasmine and apricot aromas. An ideal aperitif wine or to be paired with spicy Asian and oriental dishes.
Moscato Giallo or Goldmuskateller is an aromatic grape variety that has been cultivated in Alto Adige for centuries. Unlike the more usual sweet version, this Moscato Giallo is a dry wine.
A very dry, aromatic white wine. It has a pale straw yellow colour with slight reflections at the edges. On the nose, the wine stands out for its intense fruity aromas (peach, pineapple, banana, apricot) accompanied by a slight note of nutmeg and white pepper. Crisp on the palate, fresh with compact fruit aromas. Very pleasant and light to drink.
The dry Moscato Giallo is slightly yellowish gold. It is a fine and aromatic wine. At the beginning, you can taste citrus notes, white peach, melissa and elderberry mixed with nuances of nutmeg and sweet spices. The strong acidity and the discrete mineral structure give this wine an excellent freshness and pleasantness.
The wine Pfefferer is named after the Pfefferer grape, a particular variety of the Muscat grape that in the Alto Adige dialect has always been called Pfefferer. Probably because the spicy aroma is reminiscent of pepper, since Pfeffer in German means pepper. The Pfefferer has delicate fruit aromas reminiscent of Muscat, youthful freshness – an excellent aperitif wine. The wine is unashamedly aromatic and elegant, dry, youthful and zesty with grapey fruit and lots of freshness.
My interpretation of the “Principessa” shows what can be hidden behind an aromatic grape variety if you think outside the box and break new ground. Due to the mash fermentation, the aromas, which are often pungent to me, take a back seat and thanks to the light tannins, the wine is easy to drink with a nice freshness. The typicality of the grape variety remains recognizable, but it is combined with a freshness and complex component.
Bright straw yellow colour with green nuances; intensely aromatic on the nose, reminiscent of nutmeg, tropical fruits, lemon and lime; deliciously grapey on the palate with crisp, mouth-watering acidity followed by a long, discreetly mineral finish.
Its fresh bright yellow reminds us of the ripe grapes just before the harvest. On the nose it captivates with its exceptionally spicy nutmeg note and exotic fruit aromas (kiwi, mango, lemon blossom), while on the palate the fine acidity and balanced structure make for a lasting impression on the finish.
This Goldmuskateller also, also known as Moscato Giallo belongs to our selection TURMHOF where we pay particular attention to the sensory complexity of the respective grape varieties and compose the wine by carefully selecting the vineyards used.
