A brief history
Directly in front of Steinegger Estate lie our cherished vineyards. Nestled in Eppan Berg at an elevation of 580 meters, we cultivate Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Positioned on an eastern slope with limestone-rich glacial moraine soil, these vines thrive in a unique microclimate, enhanced by cool mountain breezes from the Mendel Range. Michael Falkensteiner oversees the entire process—from the preparation of the base wine for sparkling to aging, riddling, disgorging, and bottling. Each step is meticulously carried out by hand with dedicated craftsmanship. We produce sparkling wines of exceptional quality using the traditional méthode champenoise.
