Nose

intense aroma

Palate

Lively and fruity on the palate with a touch of elegant tannin and long lasting finish. With prolonged contact with oxygen, the aroma unfolds again to another level, presenting an even more intense and complex elegance.

Growing Conditions

Mazzon, a picturesque village at 300 - 450 m above sea level in the South Tyrolean lowlands. Our Pinot Noir grows here under the best conditions, on deep soils with high clay and lime content. Sun until the evening hours, cool nights and the Garda wind "Ora" do their part to make Mazzon one of the best Pinot Noir sites in Italy.

Harvest

The grapes are harvested by hand.

Winemaking

Fermentation takes place for about 14 days in open tanks. A continuous and careful punching down of the marc ensures an optimal transition of the natural aromas into the wine. Biological acid reduction is followed by 12 months of aging in barriques (225 l). Our Pinot Noir is then stored in the bottle for another 6 months.
