Sylvaner is a very old grape variety. It is part of the most important types of wine in the Valle Isarco. Along with Riesling, Sylvaner represents one of our main varieties. The three airy locations of Kuenhof, Lahner and Gasteiger provide an extraordinary expressivity to this wine. Our Sylvaner presents itself as a complex salty wine with a fruity spice, a particularly strong taste and a long finish.

The Veltliner-grape is originally from Austria. We cultivate our Veltliner in the locations of Kuenhof and Nafen. This wine is characterized by its freshness and its delicate aromas of pepper and green apple, which are the typical trades of this type of wine.

The Gewürztraminer has been documented in South Tyrol since the 11th century. In spite of the light red coloured grape it is part of the white wines. This variety is the smallest part of our production. The vines grow in the sunny location around the Kuenhof. Our Gewürztraminer is characterized by a very fine aroma and elegance freshness.

The Riesling grape came to South Tyrol in the 19th century and it originally comes from Germany. We were the very first Wine Estate in the Valle Isarco to cultivate Riesling. This grape grows in the vineyards of Kuenhof, Teis, Lahner and Gasteiger. The steep slopes of the Lahner vineyard are particularly ideal for Riesling vines. Our Riesling KAITON is characterized by a clear structure with an intense mineral taste, with fruity and spicy aromas. Kaiton Kaiton is the name we gave to our Riesling. The reason why we choose this name was the missing DOC-designation (controlled denomination of origin) in the Valle Isarco until the year 2002. Kaiton is an origin Celtic word which means forest. The area around Kuenhof and the small town of Scezze used to have this name.
