Nose
Complex aroma experience, shows notes of ripe apple, with fine spicy
notes, of sage.
Palate
On the palate very dense and mineral. A nice match between
acidity, fruit and complexity characterizes this Pinot Blanc. Voluminous, juicy, creamy and persistent on the finish.
Growing Conditions
The vines planted at the end of the 19th century on an extreme hillside in Missian mark one of the oldest vineyards in Alto Adige. The grape goods, which have been handpicked with the utmost care. Calcareous moraine deposit of glacial origin planted
already about 1899; steep and south facing slopes (between 350-400 m a.s.l.).
Winemaking
Gentle fermentation on the skins in big clay amphorae, maturation on fine yeast.
Aging
More than 20 years.
Appearance
Brilliant straw yellow.
