Nose

Faceted aroma of black cherry, wild berries and alpine herbs accompanied by notes of dark chocolate and licorice.

Palate

On the palate it is round, full and juicy and has a fine and sweet tannic structure.

Growing Conditions

South-east positioning on alluvial soils with various gravel layers and a high percentage of limestone. Deep rooting with good drainage at 380 – 420 meters above sea level.

Winemaking

Slow fermentation in open wood barrels and 15-months maturation on fine yeast in tonneaux and barrique.

Aging

3-10 years.

Food Pairing

With structured game dishes or as after dinner with a cigar or dark chocolate.
