A brief history
Kandlerhof Erbhof since 1793, extends the drinking experience of Vernatsch and enhances St. Magdalena as a unique living space in Bolzano.
This unique South Tyrolean winery achieves this by living the family tradition, craftsmanship, working with care for the soil and resources, and thinking across generations. Hannes Spornberger: "We respect our soils and take care of our plants in the vineyard to reduce the influence of cellar technology to a minimum. In this way, we promote the diversity and variety of this unique hill. Environmental sustainability is very important to us."
The vineyards cover 2 hectares with the varieties Vernatsch, Lagrein, Merlot and Sauvignon. The annual bottle production is 20.000 bottles. The wines are vinified in a manner typical of the vineyards.
