Name: Glen is the most historically significant vineyard site of the winery. Its founder Alfons Giovanett has invested in this special location already since 1969. The afternoon sun, the special conglomerate soil of loam, limestone, and porphyry, as well as the micro-vinification at these altitudes of 450-790 m provide ideal conditions for this harmonious Pinot Nero. Label: It shows the disused railway bridge of the Val di Fiemme in Glen – as a symbol of departure, mobilisation, and industrialisation. Today it is an accessible observation point with a unique view of Bolzano and the entire Bassa Atesina region. 85 % of the vineyards of South Tyrol can be seen from here.

Lagrein is one of the indigenous grape varieties of South Tyrol. The vine prefers warm, sunny places as on the valley floor. It grows best on alluvial gravel soils. The best areas for Lagrein can be found near Bolzano and Egna, where the grapes for our Lagrein Rieder come from. Name: One of our vineyards planted with Lagrein in Bolzano is called “Rieder”. Label: It shows a part of the remarkable boarder wall of our vineyard in Egna.

Name: „Vom Lehm“ means the loamy soil on which the grapes for this Gewürztraminer bring out best results. Label: Shows the development from the loamy soils to the vine and to the final wine in the glass.

„Tecum“ (Latin: with you, together) is the expression of balance, elegance and harmony. The grapes for this cool and mineral Pinot Bianco grow in the single site vineyard Buchholz with an altitude of 600 m, above Salorno. This site is located on the cooler, eastern side of the Bassa Attesina region and is characterised by a mineral soil of dolomite rock. After its maturation in wooden barrels for 12 months the wine gets 12 more months in the bottle to evolve its structure and complex aromas. “N.D.T.” (niente di troppo) which means “from nothing too much” can be found on the label and expresses the philosophy of this wine. The Tecum is exclusively bottled in Magnum bottles and since the vintage 2017 every bottle is numbered by hand.

Name: Mazon is known as the Grand Cru of Italian Pinot Nero and located above Egna/Neumarkt at 300-450 metres above sea level. The vineyard is exposed to North West and the vines benefit from the long evening sun as well as of cool fall winds. The deeper position and the special clones planted in this vineyard bring out a very complex and structured Pinot Nero. Label: It shows the ruins of Kaldiff Castle near the vineyards. Legend tells that several treasures are buried there and guarded by two huge dogs with fiery eyes. This castle was built around 1200 and inhabited by the Lords of Enn until the castle decayed after a great fire.

Name: Buchholz is the name of a steep single site at an altitude of 440 to 500 meters above the small town of Salorno in the southernmost part of South Tyrol. Due to an optimum sun exposure, the grapes on the 25 to 60-year-old vines can ripen slowly and bring out this delicate Pinot Nero. Label: Perkeo was the court jester and cupbearer of Kurfürst Philip von der Pfalz and responsible for the wine stock. According to legend, little man from Salorno was able to finish the big barrel, which held about 200.000 litres, in one go. But once he got very sick, the doctor advised him to drink a glass of water. After the first sip of water, he has fallen dead according the legend.
