slope exposure: west 50 %, south-west 40%, south 10%
climate: extreme interplay between sunny days influenced by the Mediterranean climate and cool nights marked by the cold downslope winds from the surrounding mountains
Harvest
beginning to mid-October
Winemaking
After manual harvest, the grapes are delivered in small bins. Fermentation takes place in big oak casks at a controlled temperature of 28°C and is followed by malolactic conversion.
Aging
The wine matures for 12 months in French barriques, followed by another 6 months in concrete tanks. After bottling, Urban rests in the bottle for at least another 6 months.
