Nose

A nose which reminds you of strawberries, raspberries, plumbs and cherries.

Palate

On the palate its full strength unfolds, full-bodied and velvety. Compared to the Pinot NeroRiserva the Vigna Zis is even more concen- trated, full-bodied and spicier.

Growing Conditions

he vines for the Vigna Zis grow with a strictly reduced yield at 400m above sea level and are the oldest on the Brunnenhof estate. The sandy clay soil, the wind from Lake Garda and the afternoon sun provide the perfect conditions for the vines. Blauburgunder, characte- ristic of the area, has been grown in Mazzon for 100 years.

Winemaking

The selected grapes, picked as late as possible and when fully ripe, are fermented in a large wooden barrel. The biological acid reduction follows, the wine is put in tonneau for at least one year using two production methods, new and second tonneaux. 2015 is the first vintage and will be sold for the first time in autumn 2018.
