Nose

A wide-ranging fragrance reminiscent of rose petals, cloves, lychee and tropical fruits makes the Gewürztraminer the embodiment of an aroma variety. With its intensive colour, its relatively high alcohol content and its opulent texture, it is the perfect wine to simply sit and meditate with.

Growing Conditions

The Gewürztraminer vines grow in Mazzon above Neumarkt at 400 metres above sea level. The Ora wind from Lake Garda creates perfect conditions for the vines and the cooler climate and the clay soil lend the wine a strong minerality.

Winemaking

The destemmed grapes are gently pressed after a short contact with the skins. A third of the grapes is fermented in big 550 litre oak barrels followed by the process of acid reduction. The rest ferments in a tempe- rature controlled stainless steel tank and afterwards is seasoned on fine yeast for six months.
